This guided tour will take you to visit the highlights of the most popular tourist cities. You will enjoy the Great Wall and Forbidden City in Beijing; admire Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museums in Xian; appreciate Yuyuan Garden in Shanghai and marvel at the world’s most magnificent hydroelectric project by taking the Yangtze Cruise.

  • Upon arrival at Beijing Capital Airport, you will reclaim your luggage and clear the customs first. Our local guide will meet you outside the customs, holding a sign on which your name is written. A comfortable private transfer will take you to check in the hotel. The rest of the day is free. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore the city on your own or have a rest at the hotel.

  • In the morning, our guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and transfer to visit the largest city square around the world, Tiananmen Square, which is located at the heart of Beijing city. After a short strolling around the square, we will enter into the splendid Forbidden City, now known as the Palace Museum. Reputed as the largest and best-preserved imperial palace, the Forbidden City will show you a vivid picture of the royal life with the gorgeous imperial architecture and cultural relics. Around noon, we will invite you to enjoy an a la carte lunch at a well-decorated local restaurant where will offer the authentic Chinese food. Compared with those dining at the tourist eateries, the meal price we pay for you is three to four times higher than that of the tourist food. In the afternoon, we will proceed to visit Temple of Heaven, the sacred place used by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties to offer sacrifices to the gods of heaven. After enjoying the whole day tour, a wonderful Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theatre is specially arranged for you. The show, Legend of Kung Fu, incorporating acrobatics and dancing, will feast your eyes.

  • Today you will visit one of the greatest world heritage sites - the Badaling Great Wall. Badaling is the most elite part among all the existing Great Wall of China. Standing on it, you will see the long wall, like a huge dragon, winding up and down the mountain ranges. To avoid the mass-produced food at those shopping site restaurants near the Great Wall, we will drive you to enjoy an a la carte lunch at a fancy local restaurant, where you will taste Sichuan cuisine. Compared with those dining at the tourist eateries, the meal price we pay for you is three to four times higher than that of the tourist food. After lunch, we will proceed to visit the Sacred Way, which is in the front part of the imperial necropolises and means the road leading to heaven. The two sides of the road are often lined with stone statues, which serve to guard as well as decorate the tombs. Passing through the way, we will come to Ming Tomb, where 13 Ming-dynasty emperors and their wives and sons were buried. It is famed as the largest extant imperial mausoleum that buries the most emperors and empresses. On the way back to downtown area, we will drive by the Bird's Nest, which was the major venue for 2008 Olympic Games. You will see a profile of the huge stadium and have some time to take pictures.

  • After breakfast, pay a visit to the Summer Palace and the Pearl Store. Originally constructed in 1750 by Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, the palace is the largest and best-preserved imperial garden of our country. It is the masterpieces of the classical gardens, which perfectly combines the natural landscape and delicate gardening design. Later, we will take you to experience a Hutong tour. You will ride a special rickshaw through the maze of Hutong. It is a good chance for you to know about old local manners and customs. After experiencing the original Beijing culture, you will be served an a la carte lunch at a well-known local restaurant. Later in the afternoon, we will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Xian. Upon your arrival, our local guide will be waiting for you outside the baggage claim area and escort you to the selected hotel in the downtown.

  • In the morning, we will transfer you to visit the symbol of ancient Xian city, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museums. It is a huge underground military museum constructed as an accessory pit of Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum. Life-sized terracotta figures of warriors and horses arranged orderly in battle formations will take you back to the Qin Dynasty of over 2,200 years ago. After visiting a Pottery-making Factory, we will invite you to have an a la carte lunch at the best local restaurant. Usually most agencies arrange their clients to have mass-produced food at the tourist restaurants near the warrior site to reduce cost but don’t care the food quality and dining environment. In the afternoon, continue the trip to another famous attraction of the city, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. With a long history of about 1,300, the 64.5-meter (211 feet) high square cone-shaped tower was built to collect the Buddhism scripture and statues taken back from India. After that, we will go to visit the Provincial History Museum. The museum has a large scale collection of over 370,000 historical relics, showing you the splendid ancient cultures of olden times. In the evening, the local specialty Dumpling Dinner and Tang Dynasty Dance and Music Show at Shaanxi Opera Theater will be waiting for you. The marvelous show vividly reflects the ancient royal singing and dancing of the Tang Dynasty about 1400 years ago.

  • After breakfast, we will take a tour to the City Wall. Reputed as the existing largest and the most completed city wall in the world, it is one of the most popular attractions of Xian. Standing on the wall, you could have a full view of the city. If time permits, you can rent a bicycle to ride around the wall by yourself. Around noon, you will be scheduled to have a local family visit. The friendly host will prepare the authentic home cooked lunch for you. If you like, you can learn to cook one or two your favorite Chinese dishes with the host. From this visit, you will see the real life of the local people. Farewell to the local family and continue the visit to the Great Mosque, one of the biggest and oldest Islamic mosques in China. Different from other Islamic mosques, the Great Mosque features in Chinese style and the cultures of Chinese and Islamic perfectly merge into one.

  • In the morning, we will pay a visit to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area, which mainly consists of the Xian Museum, the ancient Jianfu Temple and the famous Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Firstly, go to visit the museum, which collects about 130, 000 fine historical relics. The next stop will be the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Built in the year 707 A.D during the Tang Dynasty (618-907), the pagoda is a celebrated perfectly-preserved Buddhist building. The thirteen stories pagoda boasts a delicate appearance and is a symbol of Buddhist architecture. Afterwards, our guide and driver will drive you to the airport for the flight to Chongqing. Upon your arrival, our local guide will greet you outside the customs of the airport. A comfortable private transfer will take you to the downtown area. If time permits, a brief city view to the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo will be arranged to you. You will have a chance to meet the lovely Chinese Giant Pandas at close quarter. Then board the luxurious President Ship. As the ship departs from Chongqing at about 22:00, your relaxing tour begins.

  • After breakfast, the guide will introduce the cruise and the schedule to you. Then you will disembark and visit Shibaozhai (Precious Stone Fortress), which is a vermilion 12-storey pavilion built against a huge rock. With its exquisite architecture and interesting legends, Shibaozhai becomes a must-see when cruising along the Yangtze River. Standing on it, you could overlook the stunning river views. In the evening, the Captain's Welcome Party will be ready for you.

  • Today’s cruise will take you to enjoy the most beautiful scenery along the Yangtze River. You will disembark at Shennong Stream and take a sampan to go deep into the beautiful narrow gorges. Sitting on the special local wooden boat, you will indulge yourself in the wonders of zigzagging watercourses and the primitive environment. The nice folk song from the trackers will enrich your journey. After about 3 to 4 hours’ sampan adventure, you will get back to the ship and continue to sail into the Xiling Gorge, the longest among the three gorges of the Yangtze River. Along this section, you could see some renowned streams, springs, stones and karst caves. In the evening, the ship will pass the Five Level Ship Lock of the Three Gorges Dam.

  • Today’s highlight is to take a shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam, the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man. As you embark again, your amazing Yangtze cruise journey will come to the end. After lunch, our local guide will lead you to visit the Yichang Museum if time permits. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the airport and fly to Shanghai. Upon your arrival, you will find that our local guide is waiting for you outside the baggage claim area. A private transfer will take you to the selected hotel in the downtown.

  • This morning excursion will begin with the Shanghai Museum, which collects more than 120,000 historic relics including bronze wares, chinaware and Chinese paintings. Later, we will pay a visit to Yuyuan Garden. With the delicate buildings, fine layout and stunning landscapes, it is regarded as one of the most well-known southern China gardens. After a Silk Museum, you will enjoy a la carte lunch at a delicate and famous local restaurant, where you will taste the authentic Shanghai and Cantonese cuisine. In the afternoon, you will be scheduled to experience a short cruise on Huangpu River. You will immerse yourself in the different scenes along the both banks of the river. Then you will have some free time to explore the Bund area and an old street.
