Shanghai, one of China’s cultural centers, is a blend of Eastern and Western Cultures. To take this itinerary, you will explore the unique ancient landscape architecture of Yuyuan Garden, a large museum of ancient Chinese art, and also witness the prosperity along the Huangpu River.
Upon your arrival at Shanghai, you will be met by our professional guide who will stand outside the baggage claim area of Shanghai Airport, and transferred to the selected hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city.
In the morning, you will be picked up by our driver and guide at you hotel. Your tour begins with a visit to Shanghai Museum, which houses over 120,000 pieces of Chinese ancient artworks. Afterwards, we will take you to the Yuyuan Garden, a typical classical Chinese garden with a history of more than 400 years. You will explore a different side of the bustling Shanghai from the tranquil and charming garden. Around noon, you will be served with an a la carte lunch of authentic Chinese cuisines at a famous local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will go to the Bund area to enjoy a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. The west bank (Puxi) is the cultural, residential and entertainment center of Shanghai. It includes many highlights such as the Bund, Monument to the People's Heroes, Waibaidu Bridge and the oldest park in Shanghai - Huangpu Park. While, the east bank of the river (Pudong) is the newer district of Shanghai and its financial and commercial hub. On this side, we can see the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Jin Mao Tower and skyscraper hotels. In addition, there are two suspension bridges, Yangpu Bridge and Nanpu Bridge across the river. After the cruise, you could take time to tour the Bund and visit an old street in Shanghai.
